I started taking photos when I was about 12 years old, my mum bought me a Kodak instamatic and I fell in love with the medium. Studies in photograph in secondary school led to tertiary studies but never developed into a fully professional career  in photography even though some of my work has been published. I have spent most of my working life as a professional technical writer and the photographs taken where purely for technical illustration purposes.
The work I present here is my own, done purely for my own creativity and enjoyment.
I hope you like what you see.

I am a photographer, I love what I do. Born in country Victoria and moved to Melbourne shortly afterwards I was fascinated by the imaged in magazines such as Life and National Geographic, the colour depth and clarity that those images had captured my imagination, this love would eventually lead me to enter the publishing world as a writer and photographer and occasional editor for one of the most wonderful times in my life that ended far too soon.
I started experimenting with photography when it was all darkroom and chemicals years ago, The digital age means a new learning curve for me, learning how to use things like photo-shop and Gimp and other image manipulation techniques that give photographers unprecedented creative abilities.
I love photography , even though others have sneered at it as a nothing more than a recording medium. It is an art in its own right conveying meaning as much as any other art form.
